Frozen Berries

I like to eat frozen berries. They are so delish! An ideal snack. Try it. I wont be cooking much the next few days as I prepare to leave on a much needed Utah vacation. Stay tuned for Provo cooking and what I am going to feed my children in the car so we don't have to pull over to eat. Fast food is gross, and can you say CAR GAS...nothing worse.
kisses,
Nie

Nie,

If you're coming to Utah, there's one unique restaurant that you have to check out that I think is right up your ally. It's nothing POSH, but the food is to die for! Have you ever heard of One World Cafe? (SLC) Check out this link: http://www.oneworldeverybodyeats.com/home.html and if you have any questions write reyesdm@gmail.com

Happy late birthday!

I don't know how you knew I wrote about your smoothies, but you commented on my blog the other day and I was shocked (are you psychic?). Anyway, I came across you through my sister who enjoys your blog and I have been loving the recipes you post.

We (my sister and I) made your homemade wheat tortillas with cinnamon and brown sugar the other day. We also spiced it up for our lunch with a brush of olive oil, fresh garlic, parm, mozzarella and tomatoes broiled for a few minutes . . .it was divine! You would love it!

Hey! We've arrived. i wish I could have seen your car snack list before we left. We didn't do any "pull-over" eating either--yucky. Drive so safe!

Nienie,

Hi friend of a friend of a friend. I too love frozen berries. I also love frozen corn and peas. My mother used to give them to me in a mug as an after kindergarten snack. I gobbled them up.

Frozen berries are also delish with melted chocolate poured over them. Just melt your favorite chocolate in a double boiler and drizzle over top of frozen berries - the consistency it great (maybe a tad chewy?)

Love it. Love your blog, love your freckles, love that your husband loves Jimmy Eat World (p.s. did he grow up in AZ? - because I know Jimmy is from Mesa) - I've been a Jimmy fan since the static prevails/clarity days.

PPS - My father has become a vegetarian since his diagnosis with later stages of cancer and has had tremendous improvement in his health. I am married to a carnivore. Was Mr. Nielson always veg or did you persuade him of your lovely ways? What has influenced your lifestyle?

Great recipes! What cookbooks do you recommend?

Costco carries great mixed frozen berries in a bag. There are boysenberries, raspberries, blueberries... but NO strawberries. These make a great pie, also.

I tried eating a frozen berry and it chipped my tooth. Is there something you can recommend that won't rack up the dental bill?

If only we could put that "car gas" in the tank :-)

What did you feed your children? I'm now very curious and I know it was a lifetime ago, but if you knew, could you share?

If you haven't already, please also try frozen grapes. It's like eating a healthy popcicle. They are amazing!
