Homemade berry ice cream

A few things you should know about us. We like-no, love smoothies. Today I decided to add vanilla ice cream to our afternoon fix-I like smoothies thick...really thick.

Basically it was like having berry ice cream-go figure. What a refreshing treat.

2 cups frozen berries

vanilla soy milk (as much as needed for desired thickness)

1 cup vanilla ice cream

add to blender-mix her up. You are in for a treat.

I'm turning into a berry-aholic thanks to your blog (not such a bad thing)! My freezer is stocked with frozen bags of mixed raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. Question: do you ever strain out some of the woody seeds in the smoothies or just count it as fiber? or am I just not blending long enough?

I'm too lazy to strain my smoothies, I was just hoping there was a magic trick! We tried the berry ice cream, definitely hit the spot. 2 thumbs up. (p.s. it's okay)
