All I can say is hurray! I make slightly altered versions of your spaghetti with kale, your zucchini muffins (I do 'em gluten free) just about every week. Plus many others....
yum- maybe I will try myself out in the kitchen. I have been trying to find creative ways to incorporate raw foods that the kids will be excited about. Can't wait to see what you have going! xoxo K
I went vegetarian last fall and have loved your recipes, especially the Mexican lasagna. When my friends and I cook together we often make something from your site. Thank you so much for sharing and I am SO happy that CuisineNie is back!!! :)
hi stephanie! i've just recently started reading your blog and consequently found the link to cuisinenie... and i was just thinking "i hope she'll start posting recipes again soon..." and then i saw you updated the banner (just lovely)... and then the new post! great news! i just love your pizza and can't wait to see what you are cooking next! you are amazing! All I can say is Woo Hoo!!! Go Stephanie. I have made several of your recipes and they are delish! Can't wait for more! Also, do you think you could share your homeade bread recipe? I have my own, but my kids don't like it as much as I wish they would. I'd love to try another! Thanks!
Any tips you have on how to get your kid to eat would be much appreciated! I have a twenty one month old who will only eat veggies about once or twice A WEEK. I need help and I am hoping you can give it to me, if you don't mind. I have come to think of you as "all knowing" when it comes to anything domestic! Martha has nothing on you Nie!!! Much love from Hawaii!!! ;)
This makes me so happy! Last fall, I made your pizza every weekend in your honor. I just bought mozzarella this afternoon so I could make some this weekend. <3
so glad you're back! when i originally found this blog a couple years ago, it helped inspire me to start my own vegetarian blog: vegetarianation.blogspot.com.
Yay!!! We eat just exactly the same way you do and I love the family friendly recipes you post. Also, I'm just so happy to see you back. Sending you lots of love...
Forgive me if you've already posted about this, but I'd love to hear sometime about why/when y'all became vegetarian! From what I remember about your blog, Mr. Nielson was already one?
So glad you are relauncing this blog too! i love your recipes. Have tried whole wheat pizza and cookies. Please can you do the recipe for avacado pizza? Laura
Looking forward to it! I am a carnivore to the bone. My Mr. calls me his dinosaur but I do love veggies and healthy eating, so I'll be sure to tune in regularly.
I'm so excited to get some new recipes! I have been a vegetarian since high school ... and my kids have never eaten meat. We're always looking for new inspiration :-)
i can't wait for you to begin posting recipes. i am a vegetarian married to a meat-eater, with one vegan son, one vegetarian daughter and another son who is quite the gourmet and eats anything as long as it's very expernsive (lol).
I lost my copy of your fish taco recipe! And then I couldn't find your site for this blog. Now I can find it again (I hope) and we will eat our fresh halibut a new way!
I'm so excited! We eat meat-less as well, so I'm always looking for new recipes. By the way, you are beyond inspiring. With every one of your posts your perseverance, strength, and courage amaze me anew. Thank you for that!
I'm so excited! We eat meat-less as well, so I'm always looking for new recipes. By the way, you are beyond inspiring. With every one of your posts your perseverance, strength, and courage amaze me anew. Thank you for that!
I am so excited and happy that I can leave you a comment. We love you in RI Nie...I bet you felt the prayers and just knew they were coming from the smallest state in the country. I am also so thrilled that Jyl (mom it forward) and you got to me. She is the best....now, I wonder what you will be sharing tomororw? I have a healthy food/family blog and I will be sharing the excitement over Cuisine Nie as you care to feed your family healthy real food! yippee!
Nie, I am SO excited! I love your recipes and have been thinking recently about vegetarian-ising my life. Then a new post on cuisine-nie! It's a sign.....!!
Nie, I am so glad to have you back in the kitchen. Because of you I started making my own homemade pizzas....love the veggie kind. Can't wait to see what you come up with for yummmmmy in my tummmmmmmy food. Love,
My son was badly burned the month before your accident. Since Oct, I have followed CJ's & then your posts....finding great inspiration in your family's love & support for each other. I've cried along w/ you...during your triumphs & your disappointments. So much of it runs so parallel to my son's story that it would be impossible not to empathize deeply.
I've never formally sent you an email as I figured you were inundated & had your hands full but I just wanted to tell you how much I admire your strength & goodness & how happy I am that you are recovering so miraculously...God is good & we are blessed!
The recipe sounds great too & I can't wait to try it!
Yeah! I'm so excited. By the way, on your last Cuisine Nie you said you would post about the food you made for the car trip to Utah. I;m really want to know because I never know what to pack to eat in the car.
Hooray! I've been wanting to "eat less meat" but didn't know what to cook instead! Also, thank you for making me feel like an ice-cream cone instead of a burrito(smothered) here at home with my 4 kids. I'm sure that this one paradigm shift has been a great benefit to my family.
We are making your whole wheat pizza for dinner tonight!! I have been praying that you would return to this blog!! Thanks for ALL of your inspiration!!
I am so excited! I have never read this blog before but I will now. I am addicted to your other blog. I just want to say that you're the most amazing person xx
Welcome back to the cooking world! Thank You so much for all your great recipes and inspiration! Because of health concerns with my daughter we are becoming vegetarians and your recipes have sure helped.
So happy! Nie you still owe us the a recipe about what you eat while traveling, after your accident you of course hadn't gotten to it but would love to read what you were thinking about and do/prepare for a healthy eating while on the road.
Yay! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what all you cook up!
And, can I make a request? I would LOVE it if you would do another Week in the Life set of posts demonstrating your vegetarian lifestyle. I refer to that section all.the.time. But, it was summer when you did it before, and I'd love to read about the meals you cook in the fall and winter!
Oh how I've missed you, Stephanie! Many of my favorite recipes are from your blog. My husband simply couldn't live without your: whole wheat pizza dough, herb biscuits, zucchini muffins, salsa, tacos, etc.!
Hooray! I hardly ever cook with meat, but I'm getting tired of my same old repertoire. I'm so excited to get some new ideas and try your recipes!
By the way - thank you so much for your other blog and for your honesty and courage. Your posts has helped me through the hardest year of my life. You have taught me how to keep an eternal perspective, even when things get tough. As President Kimball said, God usually answers our prayers through others - you've helped me receive some of my answers.
I am so excited! We eat ala Cusine Nie all the time, and now that there are going to be more recipes hubs is never going to want to go out to eat! Thank you so much!
YEEHAW!!!! Because of your cooking blog, I started my own! I'm soooo excited about this...seriously...this is an amazing treat for me today. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
You do it meat-free? I never knew! I'm not meat-free, but pretty meat-light. And someone said you made something unlikely with kale? A woman after my own heart. I keep trying to tell people what kale is.
Hooray for the Oprah interview! Very cool. I can appreciate what you mean about the lion-ness, but the rust-orange ruffly shirt looked really appropriately autumn to me.
Stephanie Aurora Clark Nielson returns from a almost fatal plane crash. Happy to be blogging again from Utah and recovering too. Four happy children and one sweet husband make her life as good as it gets.
