Stephanie! The give-away was perfection!(are you in need of give away goodies, or do you have a supply? Please let me know.) Need a laugh? Libby Luna the Moonfaced Pug is snoring in her puppy bed while I try without success to get 350 photos from our "Thankful Holiday" off of a disk that Larry gave me, I shall say bye now, beofre I pull my hair out. Thank you for sharing your spirit. Your blessings touch us all.

...Maybe now I won't be able to focus on work because I'm too busy dancing and singing and calling Every.Person.I.Know.

Thank you, Stephanie. You really ARE the kindest person I know! And maybe I'm gonna tell everyone we're BFF's now......

(And Ivy, thanks for your vote of confidence....I feel all empowered to tackle that tricky kneading now!)

Do you know I check your blog everyday-first thing on the computer, before I check my own email? You are that inspiring to me. So thank you. And I hope your holidays are fabulous this year!

Yeaaaaaaaaaa, Sufoot! Congratulations! Can we all come to your house for dinner sometime? ;) LOL!

Stephanie, you and Christian, and the kids, are always in our prayers. My husband can empathize with you about open wounds and chronic pain... he has a medical condition that he's been living with for 15 years now that is like that continuously for him... he will live with it for the rest of his life. But we have a wonderful God and He helps us through each day.

Stephanie, I love your blog and I'm always very happy when you post something new. I'm glad you share your trials with us your readers. I am very sorry you're having such a hard time. I can't imagine what that's like...I have a crack on my finger from my skin being dry and I whine about that, so I can't imagine how uncomfortable you are. Anyway, I just wanted to say I'll be praying for your wounds to HEAL COMPLETELY and VERY SOON.
Love, Denise

Stefanie, I am so sorry for your pain. I know pain. I know it can be wearing. I know how tired it can make you feel. I have been in intractable pain since March of 1998. 11 years now. It's name is Chronic Proctalgia. It's an "orphan" disease.......meaning that because there isn't a lot of people with this type of pain there is no money for research. Most times now it isn't in the forefront of my life.....but the weariness of body is all to real. The first 3 years were the worst. It engulfed me. You are such a beautiful person & I wish that you were not going through this heavy trial. I long to see you in heaven, when the trials & tribulations of this life are long gone. I believe you are going to shine Stefanie!!! Because you are the real deal. One day it will all make sense. Your trial. Your loss. Your pain.
Revelations 21: 1 - 4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. God bless you Stefanie. God sees all. God sees your heart & pain in the middle of the night while everyone sleeps. One day it will all make sense. One day all that you feel will be the love & joy of your dear Savior, Jesus.

I visited your blog after a blurb about it in Mormon Times (I think). I just wanted to tell you that I think what you and your family is doing and more importantly how you are handling the cards you have been dealt is amazing. I'm sure you don't even know how many lives you have touched and how you have shared Christ's love for us with others. Stay strong and know that your strength is spreading as you share it.

Stephanie,
It is an amazing thing to feel so much love for someone that I have never met. I feel like I know you. I was thinking yesterday as I was doing some grocery shopping that if I saw you I would rush up to you and want to give you a hug. Do you get that a lot?
Thank you for your blog and for sharing your life and experiences with so many. You help me to keep an eternal perspective. I have two beautiful children and long for more. I love to be a mother and I am thankful to be able to stay home with my kids. You capture so many of my feelings of motherhood in your blog. Please never stop.
Thank you. Thank you.

I am sorry to comment here, but I couldn't on the AZ newspaper website -- I just finished reading the whole article and (with tears streaming down my face) want to tell you how much you've affected me. You are the BRAVEST person I have ever "known". The endure what you've endured, I don't know that I could've done it. I am just simply in awe of you. I wish you the BEST life ever. And I will continue to follow your blog. Thank you for sharing your story with the world. I have passed on to all my friends. Blessings...

okay, I keep trying to comment on the HP giveaway, but I keep getting an error message... maybe b/c no one has commented since Dec 9 and there are more than 4800 posts??? I'll keep trying, but just in case:

Top ten Reasons why I should get this HP computer:
10. My kids fruit snacks are melted in between the keys of my current computer.
9. I wanna be like you
8. My son says Indiana Jones would think it was wicked awesome.
7. My other son says Buzz Lightyear could probably build us one, but it might take a while to get in touch with Star Command.
6. My husband got a 4.0 this semester and he needs something to help him with his job search.
5. I have 20 brothers and sisters and growing up we never had a computer (that's for the whine effect. did it work?)
4. I am pregnant and pregnant women should get anything they want.
3. I have never won anything and this would seriously help me mark off something on my bucket list.
2. Are you really reading this?
1. If you are, pick me pick me pick me.
0. Did I mention my kids fruit snacks are melted on the keys of the computer I'm currently using? I love high fructose corn syrup.

Stephanie, you rock!!!!

Oh, and I TOTALLY relate to the boogers on the wall thing. My girls used to do it. I'm dreading to find out what my boys are going to do! They already spit their chocolate milk out all over their crib when I make the mistake of putting them down for their naps with their sippy cups. LOL

This one is always a winner!

Chicken Pot Pie

2 packages ready made crusts

1/3 cup butter

1/2 large onion chopped fine

1/3 cup flour

1t salt

3 cups chicken broth

2 cups vegetables (carrots, corn, etc.)

2 cups chopped chicken pieces ( I buy the whole chicken, and cook it, and peel the chicken off)

Saute onion in butter. Add flour & salt, brown slightly. Add chicken broth a little at a time, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil & thickens. Add veggies & cooked chicken. Fill 2 pastry lined pie pans. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, with aluminum foil over the top of the pies. Reduce temperature to 350, remove foil, and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
This recipe is a great one to freeze - before you cook it! This has been a family favorite for over 10 years. I remember how thrilled I was when Pillsbury came out with the ready made crusts, and I didn't have to roll out my pie crusts anymore!

I'll email you the picture that go along with it!
